Geetika Gupta is Manager with the Energy program at World Resources Institute India. Here, she is engaged in research focused on empowering the state level renewable energy agencies in India. She is keen to be working on various aspects driving clean energy, energy transition and energy for development.

Geetika comes to WRI with an enriching policy and regulatory background, having worked in different capacities on subjects pertaining to India’s electricity sector. Previously, she has worked with Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC), Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC), Brookings Institution India Center, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL) and RTI International India.

Geetika holds an M.Sc. in Regulatory Governance from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and a bachelor’s of technology in Electrical Engineering from IP University, Delhi.

Spending quality time with her little girl takes most of Geetika’s time. She is also learning to grow and preserve plants and doing plants propagation in her when free.
